On Tuesday, September 15, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the plaza right outside Sinchon Station will become a welcoming outdoor place to meet people, enjoy K-pop, try simple Korean games, and make a memory that feels more personal than another evening spent scrolling at home.

This is not a formal networking event, and you do not need to know anyone before you arrive. It is a free, English-friendly afternoon for international students, long-term residents, and anyone who wants to experience Seoul with new people around them.

The first part of the event is made for wandering, trying things, and getting comfortable. A K-pop DJ will set the mood in the plaza while guests explore the different activity zones.

At the “Where Is Your Flag?” photo zone, find your country’s flag, take a picture, and use it as the easiest possible introduction: where are you from, how long have you been in Korea, and what do you want to do next? It is a simple idea, but it can start a real conversation.

You can also try Spin & Win, where small surprises, snacks, coupons, and mystery prizes make the first few minutes more playful. The goal is not to win a serious competition. The goal is to have a reason to laugh with the person standing next to you.

Try Korean Culture the Fun Way

Korean culture is most memorable when you can join in. At StayKorea Social Night, you can try familiar and not-so-familiar activities with other guests rather than just watching from the side.

Add your thoughts to the Rate Your K-Life and K-Bucket List boards. Which Korean food, neighborhood, song, tradition, or experience has made your time here better? What are you still hoping to try before you leave? You may find that someone else has the same answer — or the perfect recommendation.

Then test your skills with classic Korean games such as yutnori and jegichagi. You do not need to know the rules before you arrive. The fun is learning, cheering each other on, and being completely fine when you do not get it right the first time.
